Is ToDowl free?
Yes, there is a free plan and it is not a trial. It keeps 3 projects with up to 3 lists in each, the last 24 hours of activity history, and the standard project colours. Pro removes those limits and unlocks the calendar. Free and Pro lists exactly what sits on each side of the line.
Where is my data stored?
On our own servers, in a Postgres database, behind row level security rules that scope every row to your user id. ToDowl does not run on a third party backend platform, and your data is not shared with other accounts.
Does ToDowl work offline?
Not properly, no. The app needs a connection to read and write, and a lost connection means changes stop saving. Do not treat it as an offline notebook.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. ToDowl is a web app, and it is built mobile first, so it works in a phone browser. A native app is not available today.
Does it sync between my devices?
Yes. Tasks, projects and calendar events live on the server, so any device signed in to the same account sees the same content. A handful of preferences are the exception and stay on the device.
What languages does ToDowl speak?
English and Russian, across the whole interface. The switch is in Settings, and it applies immediately. This help centre ships in both languages too.
Can I import from another app?
There is no importer today. You can export your own ToDowl data as a JSON backup and load it back, which covers moving between accounts, but there is nothing that reads a Todoist or Notion export.
Is there a dark theme?
Yes. Light, dark, and follow the system setting, plus a warm variant of each. See Appearance and language.
What happens when I delete something?
It goes to the trash and stays there for 30 days, then it is removed. Anything you want to keep out of sight without a countdown goes to the archive instead. See Trash and archive.
How do I get help?
Open the support chat from the sidebar in the app. It is a real thread, we answer in it, and you can keep replying in the same place. We normally get back within one business day.
